NB: We are not accepting new registrations for follows, however we are accepting registration from leads and couples.

NB: remember to park carefully or your car will be towed. Do not park too close to a corner or driveway, in residential parking spots, (the north side of E 8th avenue where EDAM is, is residential parking only.)

bring water to keep you hydrated, wear shoes that do not leave black scuff marks on the floor, and make sure you do not park in residential only areas (on the block where EDAM is,the north side of 8th Avenue is residential parking only, but the signs are hard to see) and do not park too close to the corners.

Hello Everyone,
Please remember that there is no lesson or practica this Wednesday, Dec 28.

Wednesday - January 4, there will be a free beginner’s introduction to Argentine tango class at 6:30 – 7:30.
Please let your friends and family know so that they can try out a class. Maybe it could be a New Year’s resolution to try something different!

Because an opening at EDAM became available to us, Meng and I have decided to take the opportunity and expand our teaching to include a beginner’s class; followed by our intermediate/advanced class and practica.

Wednesday schedule :

Today the regular Wednesday's class is changed. Magic Tango is bringing Luis and Daniela to teach - Int - Adv Volcadas class from 6:45-8:45 $45 drop in. check the magictango website for prices.
The Wednesday practica will follow from 9:00 - 10:30. So drop in and meet the instructors and practice $5.
** Please note that this will be our last practica til September 7, 2011 as EDAM Dance Studio closes the studio for the month of August.

Meng and I are continuing with our last class for the Tango Nuevo Combinations Series. We do a quick review of the previous class and then continue with a new combination. This series is challenging and a fun way of learning advanced techniques. Guys come out and learn some playful moves, the ladies will love you for it! Then stay for the practica where you can practice what you have just learned. (free for class attendees)

I am very excited to announce that as of January 5, 2011 there will be a formal lesson taught before the practica. And I am very happy to have Meng Wang, recently from LA, team up with me to teach these classes. He's a wonderful dancer and has many ideas for our classes. So I hope you can join us.

7:30 - 8:30 Assisted practica ($10) Excellent for those new to the dance or for those who need a little help with their technique. You will be in a non-intimidating environment with guidance throughout the hour. If you have any questions bring them with you. You are invited to stay for the regular practica for free.

8:30 - 10:00 Regular practica ($5)
Large Dance space and music are provided for those who want to practice on their own.

Partners are not required. But when you are in class or at a milonga, why not ask someone if they would practice with you one Wednesday night.

Sunday July 18 Granville Island OUtdoor Milonga

Venue: Covered Picnic area next to the Cat's Social Club Restaurant and Children's Water park on Granville Island.

Time: 5:00 to 8:00pm
Admission: Free
DJ Gravito

This is a casual and social dance so bring your friends and family to show them what this tango craze is all about.

-If the weather is inclement we will send out an email canceling it.
-The 3 hour parking limit is strictly enforced until 7pm.
-The floor is cement, so please do not wear your good dance shoes. Shoes that are slightly padded and that you can pivot in are good.
-Please be careful when leading or doing pivots and turns as we do not want any twisted knees. The floor closest to the restaurant is a bit rough.
-We are not allowed to have alcohol on site.
So bring your water or beverage of choice to help keep you hydrated.
-This is a free event hosted by Lucio and Wendy for your enjoyment so come down and the party!
